Dallas Ft. Worth Chapter NDTA

4-Star Guest Speaker, Gen (ret) Handy

To members and friends of NDTA D/FW Chapter,

We have an outstanding opportunity to hear from a senior executive logistics leader this month!  A former USTRANSCOM Commander, Gen (ret) John Handy will be our special guest speaker for this month's NDTA D/FW Chapter meeting and luncheon. His topic is: "Vision for Transportation 2020 & Beyond"

The general retired from the Air Force in October 2005, where he served his last four years as Commander, U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) and Commander, Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. After retiring from the Air Force, General Handy formed his consulting and advisory service located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Of his many diverse business endeavors, General Handy is the President and COO of Fidelio, Inc. (an international ship chartering and leasing company). He is the Vice Chairman of the management committees of American Roll-On Roll-Off Carrier, LLC and American Auto Logistics, LP. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of AAL’s General Partner, American Shipping and Logistics Group, Inc. He is a member of the Air Force senior advisory group to the Mitre Corporation. He is also Chairman of the board of the Center for Transformation and Strategic Initiatives, a not for profit organization specializing in public policy consulting services to government and commercial entities.  His full Reserve Forces Policy Board official bio is available at http://ra.defense.gov/rfpb/board/handy.html

In addition to Gen Handy, we also have another special guest--our NDTA Southwest Regional President, Mr Ernest Bezdek, will join us to present our National NDTA awards on behalf of the NDTA home office in Washington, D.C. As you already heard, "WINNERS--yeah, we got 'em!"

Following Chapter tradition, our luncheon meeting will be at:
